Krishnendu Bose

Krishnendu Bose is the founder of Earthcare Films which makes films on wildlife and conservation and has produced many award winning documentaries in wildlife conservation. His film ‘Tiger- the Death Chronicle’ got the coveted Wildlife Conservation Award at the 4th Vatavaran Film Festival 2007 and Conservation Award at the International Wildlife Film Festival at Missoula, Montanna in 2008. ‘The Latent city’, his film in 2009 was awarded the Grand Prix, for the best film in Dokumenta Art Film Festival, Romania. He has also been presented with the highest award for documentary film making in the field of Environment and Wildlife in India- CMS-UNEP Prithvi Ratna Award in 2009.

He is also the founding member of ECO (Earthcare Outreach Trust) and its Managing Trustee. He has also been involved in conducting sessions on environment education in schools and colleges, using his films as a medium. He has been a guest faculty at Symbiosis and National School of Design.

Mr. Bose is also a member of International Union of Conservation for Nature. He has produced shows for Sony- AXN- Amazing Race Asia. He has also co-produced an award-winning documentary on pesticide deaths with Honrung Television, Hamburg Cycle of Poison. He has been line producer, CBS Network for their 9 time Emmy Awarded Series Amazing Race. Krishnendu has Masters in Economics from Delhi School of Economics (1985) and is a keen photographer and loves traveling and writing about it.

G. Latha Krishna Rao is currently working as Secretary, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment , Government of India, New Delhi. Before joining in the Ministry of Social Justice, she was the Secretary in the Department of Environment State government of Karnataka and is involved in several issues relating to the environment and the development. Previously, she has also served as the Additional Chief Secretary, Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Government of Karnataka. Bangalore.

She holds bachelor's degrees in English literature, sociology and Sanskrit, a master's degree in English literature and a diploma in child psychology.

Shrikant Prakash Gathoo is Director, Human Resources at Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd., is a experienced Human Resources Director with a demonstrated history of working in the oil & energy industry. He is skilled in Petroleum, Business Planning, Operations Management, Analytical Skills, and Energy. He is a strong human resources professional with an International Directors' Programme- Certified (IDP-C*) focused in Corporate Governance from INSEAD. In this capacity, he is responsible for the implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions in the corporation. He has held several previous positions including General Manager for Human Resources Development, Chief Personnel Manager and Deputy General Manager for Personnel.

Mr. S.P. Gathoo plans to continue work in his field, expanding upon issues of energy and industrial environmental management in order to develop a global vision for CEO positions.

He earned his master's degree in personnel management from the University of Poona in India.


Ms Mugdha Dhananjay Karnik

Mugdha Dhananjay Karnik is Director of Extra-Mural Studies at the University of Bombay where she also earned her Master's Degree in Sociology. As director, she has organized many educational projects and science-oriented activities for rural children and women. She has also successfully completed two projects involving local students in the study of their own village ecosystem.

She organizes many educational activities regarding women's rights, women's health, the Indian system of medicine (the Ayurveda) and legal aid for rural women. For urban students, her unit organizes nature study trails, marine trails, painting, sculpture and pottery camps, aquarium camps and astrophysics camps.


Seema Paul

Seema Paul is currently the Managing Director at The Nature Conservancy, Washington. Previously, she has worked in the capacity of an Executive in Environment Philanthropy and Non Profit Management and also as CEO and Board member of the Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation, a New Delhi-based organisation that promotes sustainable energy and transportation policies in India. Ms.Paul has also served as Chief of Policy at UNAIDS, and prior to that as the Senior Program Officer in the Environment Team with Ted Turner United Nations Foundation.

Seema has a Master's degree in Environmental Policy from the University of Maryland and Master's degree in English Literature from Delhi University. She is also an alumnus of the prestigious St. Stephen's College in New Delhi. She was an Alfred Friendly Press Fellow and the International Herald Tribune Fellow at the INSEAD'S International Executive Programme.
