Vimal Garg is working as Director, R S Envirolink Technologies Pvt Ltd, Gurgaon. R. S. Envirolink Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (RSET) is a specialized consulting service company, focused to provide entire gamut of environmental services for water resource development projects and is known hydro power sector with most of the active private and government clientele of the sector. Earlier, he has worked with WAPCOS – Water and Power Consultancy Services, a government undertaking under the Ministry of Water Resources in India and worked on more than 70 consultancy assignments in the field of environment: EIA and Socio-economic aspects of water resources.
Previously, he was the Head of Environment and Urban Water with DHI Water and Environment where he was involved in water resources modelling and decision support systems in water resources development and management. He was core member of the team of international experts that prepared ‘Guidelines for Sustainable Water Resources Development and Management’ and was on the team of water experts from Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh and India working on Water and Security in South Asia.
Mr. Garg is has B.Tech (Civil Engineering) from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi and has done certificate courses on ‘Satellite Image interpretation & GIS’ from Environmental Systems Research Institute and ‘Management of reservoir sedimentation’ from Engineering Staff College of India and published papers in national and international journals.
He was identified by Committee on International Collaboration-International Water Resources Association (CIC-IWRA), Third World Centre for Water Management, Mexico (TWCWM) and Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI) as future water leader. He is the youngest and only Indian in a group of 14 professionals selected from across the globe.
