Mr. Jagdish R. Desai is presently working as Associate. Manager(Environment) with Sesa Goa Ltd, a leading iron ore mining companies having its operations in India (Goa, Karnataka) and Liberia. He is a post graduate in Agriculture with specialisation in Soil Science. He has also completed his Masters in Ecology and Environment. Mr. Jagdish has a good experience in Mine land reclamation, soil erosion control, and dump stability, Environment Monitoring. He is also responsible for carrying out various social programmes for the benefit of the villagers staying in mining areas. He is also one of the core team members for preparing companies sustainability report based on GRI guide lines.
Apart from his work experience and academics Mr. Jagdish has participated in various activities during his educational period. He is a N.C.C. certificate holder, He has also represented his university in National level university sports meet. He feels that any industry will lead to pollution, but ways and means have to be found out so as to minimise the pollution, Development should be sustainable and should benefits all the stake holders.
