Ketan Parmar

Ketan a post-graduate in Masters in Social Entrepreneurship from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, has always been passionate for nature and natural living. He also has a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from faculty of social work of the same university. Having passion for nature and farming, he chose to work with an NGO on organic fertilizer project for marginal farmers instead of taking a corporate job. He was also selected for Tata Jagriti Yatra, a nationwide journey for awakening entrepreneurial spirit among youth and also worked on a CSR project of Shipping Corporation of India.

He did a small pilot project on his venture idea with 50 farmers in Gujarat, before launching his social enterprise called ‘Krishi Naturals’. It works for making organic farming and indigenous cow rearing a sustainable livelihood source for marginal farmers. Krishi Naturals has recently won at social accelerator event at IIM Ahmedabad supported by SAP India. A keeper of many accolades in business plan and marketing competitions throughout his post-graduation, his venture was initially got incubated by Tata Institute of Social Sciences and Development Bank of Singapore. International magazines such as ‘The Guardian’ and ‘Be Movement’ published about ‘Krishi Naturals’. Apart for it, national media houses like ‘Times of India’, ’The Hindu’, ‘Sahara Times’, ‘Business Standard’, ‘Your Story’ also covered its work.
