Mr. Amor Nath Mondal is working with Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) as Deputy Superintendent Engineer (Environment). He worked in corporate office, planning and coordinating with various installations and regulatory authorities regarding environmental management. His job includes, updating the top management with new technology and procedures in the market for better pollution control. Apart from managerial job, technical job like performance evaluation of oilfield effluent treatment plants (ETP), Environment Impact Assessment Report preparation is also his responsibility. He is also part of ISO certification process, Bioremediation projects, corporate environmental reporting, work place safety etc. Recently he was transferred to Tripura Asset, Agartala and now working on the other side of the table i.e. implementation of corporate policy in the field. Before joining ONGC in 2004, he had worked for Environmental Consultancy firm. He worked in ONGC for 3 years and took an educational leave to complete his MS in Environmental Engineering from Texas A&M University with full scholarship.
Mr. Mondal has Bachelors in Civil Engineering from GEC Jabalpur, M.P. and M-Tech in Environmental Engineering from VRCE, Nagpur. Just after M-Tech he joined National Environmental Engineering Research Institute Nagpur as Project Fellow in Solid Waste Management Division. During his short tenure of one year he prepared a research paper that was accepted in international journal ‘Atmospheric Environment’ on 7 May 2004.
