Anuradha Chaturvedi is an Assistant Professor in the department of architectural conservation at the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi. In addition to teaching courses on heritage management and conservation of traditional building materials, she is working on compiling a database on building crafts & heritage buildings & is developing a computer based cultural resource system for Nubra, Ladakh & Zanskar
For more than 12 years, Anuradha has worked as a conservation consultant with the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage on a number of heritage conservation and development planning projects in Ladakh, Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan. One of the projects currently being implemented is conservation of the Stok Palace Museum for INTACH in Ladakh.
She qualified with a B. Arch. from the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi, India (1985) and obtained her master’s from the Centre for Conservation Studies, Institute of Advanced Architectural Studies, University Of York, UK. She also has a Certificate in Archaeological Conservation from the Institute of Archaeology, ASI in India; conducted research on conservation at Tokyo University of Fine Arts and Music, Japan; and attended a course on use of the AutoCAD from CADCentre, New Delhi.
