Dr. Gopal Singh is currently working as the Professor in Institute of Environment & Sustainable Development, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. He has contributed in the fields of analysis of various extreme ecosystems at subsystems levels (forest, domestic, agriculture and livestock) through opting holistic and integrative approaches. Qualitative and quantitative analysis have shown substantial marked differences at subsystem levels/landscape levels. Currently, he is working in the field of integrative ecology, landscape ecology, biodiversity and ecosystem services, traditional knowledge, agrobiodiversity, climate change and natural resource management. His academic and scientific contribution is recognized nationally and internationally.
