Manisha Payak is a development sector professional for past 10 years; she has seen the sector in and out and understands what the key gaps are and what is required to do to sustain the efforts being made to achieve child friendly communities. Presently she is working as “Senior CSR Officer” with Shree Mahadeo Shahra Sukrat Trust, a Trust headed by the promoters of Ruchi groups Indore. During her experience, she has closely worked with various international agencies like UNICEF, CHILDLINE and NGOs for child protection and women empowerment issues. On academic front, she holds a degree in M.A. (Psychology), M.A (Social Work) and M.Phil. (Social Work). She has a sound understanding on the child protection issues and related laws i.e. juvenile justice act, POCSO Act etc. She facilitated various training and capacity building programs and trained more than 50000 children and school teachers on child sexual abuse. She also contributed in the development of modules on child sexual abuse called “Surakshit Bachpan”. She played a leading role in conducting various rescue operations in Indore and rescued more than 1000 children who were illegally employed for Child labour and child begging. She also played an important role in witnessing of various cases of child sexual abuse. She filed her statements in the court courageously and court sentenced various culprits who were involved in the exploitation of children.
Her work was also recognized by the district administration Indore and she was felicitated with “Brave women” award in the year 2014
