Nila Pandian is a Fellow at the Human Settlement Management Institute (HSMI), New Delhi, the Research &Training wing of The Housing & Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO). After acquiring a Master’s degree in Sociology from the Delhi School of Economics (1994), she completed her Master’s in Environmental Planning (1996) from the School of Planning & Architecture (SPA), New Delhi. She has also completed the Direct Training Skills (DTS) course and Design of Training (DOT) course for Trainers
She worked for two years at SPA, before joining HSMI. Currently, her work profile involves planning, coordinating and delivery of capacity building activities for middle and senior level government and civil society functionaries, research and documentation on different themes of human settlement development and management, programme management and coordination of international and national conferences and seminars.
