Niraj Bhatiker works at Sesa Industries Limited – Pig Iron Plant, Amona as a Sr. Engineer, Environment & Safety. Sesa Industries is a unit of Sesa Goa, which is a group company of Vedanta. Vedanta has its operation in zinc & lead, copper, aluminium and iron ore, across the World.
Niraj is responsible for Environmental and Corporate Social Responsibility activities, of Sesa Goa. His particular areas of thrust are industrial air pollution control and solid waste management. He is also involved in stake holder engagement process. He is a certified IMS (ISO 9001, IO 14001, and OHSAS 18001) auditor. He has done M Tech in Environmental Engineering after graduating in BE Civil from Goa College of Engineering.
He is of the opinion that sustainable development can only make India World economic leader.
