Pushpa was born in the village of Ambedkar Nagar. She completed her education in this village. Her family has also been related to this social background. Her father, late RB Pal, has been doing social work since 1985. In 1996, he established a learning centre. After completing her school, she too got inclined towards social work and along with her studies, she started engaging in the same. Continuing her education along with social work, she completed her M.A. and B.Ed. After her father’s demise in 2013, the responsibility to run the learning centre came upon her and to make his dreams come true, she completely indulged herself in social work. Along with this, she took a degree in Masters in Social Works through correspondence.
Since April 2013, she is working as Program Coordinator for centre operated community health program. This program is established so that no mother and child dies due to lack of health support in 40 Panchayats of Jalalpur Development Blocks in Ambedkar Nagar. The program aims to strengthen government health care system and village health cleanliness and nutrition committee to serve health and well being of pregnant women, young girls and children. The main beneficiaries are pregnant women, young girls and children aged between 0-6 years. Through community mobility of this program, 6504 women in Savitri Bai Phule Women Association have empowered themselves. They protect their own interest of education, health, women rights and human rights. In these 40 Panchayats, there is a group for young women which are made aware and encouraged about information regarding health and health care facilities.
