Ranjana Ganguly has over ten years of professional experience in environment management. She is a Chemical Engineer by training and started her career in the Paints and Coating sector. In the environment field she initiated her work in Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), a national level environmental legal authority of GoI, where she was exposed to environmental issues of national significance and had the opportunity of working on projects of national significance such as National River Action Plan, development of Action Plan for Problem Areas of India, Status of Pollution Control of Seventeen Categories of Polluting Industries etc.
After this, Ranjana worked with Environment Management Division (EMD) of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) where she developed interest in improvement of environmental performance of Industry.
She has been associated with Tetra Tech India Limited and is currently associated with Ecoworks Consulting Private Limited.
She has worked at various levels including international and national policy initiatives; providing capacity building service to organizations and information dissemination through publications, seminars, workshops etc. She uses innovative concepts, methodologies and combination of tools for improving performance of enterprises and help them progress on the path of Corporate Responsibility.
She has guided over 100 organizations for design and implementation of Environmental Management Systems (EMS).
She is a trained environmental and occupational health and safety management system auditor having done over 250 days of auditing and 400+ days of training on various topics like management systems, performance evaluation, environmental legislation, EHS auditing, and responding to the Multilateral Environmental Agreements (MEAs).
