Ms Rupali works at ‘Fomento Resources’- one of the leading Iron Ore Mining Company based in Goa, Maharashtra and Karnataka, as Manager-Environment and currently heading the Environment Department. She is the member of core Statutory and Business Development team of the Organization. She is a Certified Lead Auditor for ISO 14001 and has total 14 years of industry experience. She has worked in devising Environmental Engineering solutions/Pollution Control Measures for Mining Industry to comply with SPCB Consent conditions & Environment, Forest Clearance conditions of MOEF. She has thoroughly worked in preparation of EIAs, EMP, Public Hearings, Obtaining Environmental Clearances, and Forest Clearances. She has also looked after enforcement of statutory provisions related to Mining Industry, Environment & Pollution Control through Planning, Budgeting & Execution of projects /documentation.
She has coordinated various research projects with Goa University, IIT-ISM (Dhanbad) and IIT (Kharagpur) for implementing the reclamation practices at mines and other sustainability issues. She is also a Member of the technical team in the organization for the lawyers dealing with various court matters on environment related issues. Rupali has a Master’s degree in Environmental Science from Shivaji University, Kolhapur, and Post-Graduate Diploma in Environmental Law from the National Law School, Indian Law University. She has presented papers in various national and international seminars. She has worked in Environmental Awareness through Radio and newspaper and has engaged the awareness programs at organization and individual level. She is an avid reader and loves travelling, tracking, writing, Yoga and meditation.
