Smt Seema Bahuguna, IAS (Rajasthan 1983) is presently Secretary at Department of Public Enterprises, Ministry of Heavy Industry & Public Enterprises. She has also served as the Additional Secretary and Finance Advisor to the Ministry of Rural Development, GoI. Previously, she had held various senior positions in the Government of Rajasthan and Government of India.
She holds a B.A. from Handique Girls College and an M.A. from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, New Delhi. Her interest areas are rural energy systems, particularly on the production of biogas. She also plans to contribute to the dissemination of environmental education in rural areas through existing adult literacy and informal education programs aimed at women’s groups.
