Siddharth DSouza is currently working as a Director for LAYA Green Ventures Pvt Ltd. He is in addition a consultant to the Alternative Energy and Climate Change desk, LAYA (www.laya.org.in), member Indian Network on Ethics and Climate Change (INECC) [www.inecc.net], Treasurer, Vanatharam Trust. He is mainly involved in implementation and monitoring pro-poor carbon Voluntary Emission Reduction Projects for Adivasi Communities based in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh. These projects provide clean kitchens (Energy Efficient woodstoves), potable drinking water (Bio Sand Filters). Siddharth has also been involved in the campaign initiatives of INECC, contributing to case studies, reports from the field and policy change at the various levels. His commitment is to bring environmentally friendly technology and climate friendly energy development policies to marginalized people.
He enjoys communicating his experience through training processes with young people, civil society actors new to the climate change field on project implementation and climate change policy. Siddharth has a Bachelors degree in Business studies and has done his M.A in development Studies with a Minor in Politics of Alternative Development (PAD) at the Institute of Social Studies (ISS), The Hague, The Netherlands.
