Dr. T. Chandini works as a Director in the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change, Government of India. The Ministry is the Central administrative focal point in the Central Government, for formulating policy and programmes on environmental issues. The Ministry is also the regulatory authority in the Central Government on implementation of environmental laws and for grant of environmental clearances. The Min. of Env. & Forests is also the National Focal Point for implementation for various UN Conventions and Protocols. Dr. Chandini has recently been posted within the Ministry to deal with the programme on Sustainable Development and matters arising from the UN Conference on Environment and Development (Rio+20 Summit).
