Vani Manocha

Nearly six years of her work experience in media and communication includes stints at The Times of India and Down To Earth (Centre for Science and Environment). At both these organisations, she has worked intensively with the web teams. At Down To Earth, Vani also contributed writings for the magazine and annual books (State of India Environment Report 2015 & 2016). Besides, she is also a trained teacher. Previously, Vani had joined ICLEI as communication manager where she looked forward to a great learning experience working with planners, engineers and sustainability enthusiasts.

Apart from this, she has been involved in a few volunteering initiatives and these were pursued along with her work. These include counselling ill kids at shelter homes in Delhi and holding story-telling sessions with them after an informal training from a counsellor. The initiative was called Subah. She has also worked with a lawyer to propogate knowledge of the Right To Education in slums in Delhi. Vani is a Bachelor in Education, certified by CBSE to teach in schools (CTET qualified) and has also been awarded by IBM Daksh India for spoken communication skills.
